Marcum Foundation Raises Funds for UNICEF

Thanks to the generous support of Marcum partners and associates, doubled with matching gifts from Marcum LLP as well as anonymous donors, Marcum Foundation will donate $54,000 to UNICEF’s earthquake relief fund to help children and families impacted by recent earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.

UNICEF is providing emergency programming and lifesaving support following the 7.7 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that hit in the early morning of February 6 — the most powerful to impact the region in almost 100 years.

With critical infrastructure in the area destroyed, UNICEF’s top priority is ensuring a safe space for children, where their basic needs for food, water, and warmth can be met. Tragically, those needs were exacerbated last weekend when a second major earthquake struck the region.

MEALS ON MARCUM RAISES $50,000

Marcum Foundation reached its goal of raising $50,000 to provide meals for food-insecure children during the 2022 holiday season! Through the Meals on Marcum campaign, contributions made by Marcum LLP employees, partners, clients, and vendors collectively provided 500,000 meals to children in need.

Funds will go to support the No Kid Hungry campaign of Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve hunger and poverty in the United States and abroad. No Kid Hungry works to connect kids to three meals a day, every day.

According to the USDA, more than 5 million children in the United States were food insecure in 2021—meaning they lived in households struggling to afford or access healthy meals, and not everyone had enough to eat.

St. Jude Hope in the Hamptons

The Marcum Foundation raised $600,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at its Hope in the Hamptons gala on July 30.

Hope in the Hamptons was created by a dedicated group of volunteers in The Hamptons community that believed in the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: Finding Cures. Saving Children.

The amazing evening under the stars was filled with dinner and dancing, plus a live concert by Mark Rivera and The Rockin’ Soul Stars. Celebrity sightings included actor Cuba Gooding Jr., basketball star Kris Humpfires and actor/artist Shomani Love, among others.
