The Marcum Foundation contributed $3,000 to the 2014 FTI Consulting Great Charity Challenge, presented by Fidelity Investments, in Wellington on February 1. The annual equestrian jumping event raised $2,250,000 for 35 charities. The charity linked to the winning team received $150,000,with the last place charity receiving $15,000.
Marcum was teamed with the Newstead Farm (Firestone Family) team of riders and the Connor Moran Children’s Cancer Foundation, which came in 7th overall and received a check for $65,000.
For them, this purse will have a huge impact on their ability to help children suffering from cancer and to raise awareness of the organization’s work.
