Marcum Day of Service
On November 23, 2016, all Marcum offices were closed for business to enable Marcum partners and staff to volunteer with local charities working to alleviate hunger in their communities. The second annual Marcum Day of Service benefited Feeding America’s nationwide network of 200 member food banks.

"Links to College" Golf Tournaments
The New England Region held its annual Marcum Foundation "Links to College" golf tournaments in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The tournaments fund scholarships and endowments for accounting students at seven area colleges. The program has raised more than $300,000 since 1998, with this year's net proceeds still to be booked.

Operation School Supplies
Three regions rallied the forces to make sure underprivileged children didn't head back to class this fall without all of the essentials. NY/NJ joined up with Volunteers of America for its 2016 Operation Backpack drive, donating 83 backpacks bursting at the seams with school supplies. Philadelphia assembled 25 loaded packs for Project HOME, which serves homeless kids. South Florida raised funds for the YMCA of South Florida's school supplies drive. Now that deserves an A+!

Marcum Workplace Challenge
Melville hosted the 11th annual Marcum Workplace Challenge run-walk for charity at Jones Beach State Park, benefiting four Long Island charities. A record 223 Long Island companies and organizations fielded teams, and more than 12,000 participants and spectators turned out. Fundraising results for this year's event are still being tabulated, but are expected to push the total well beyond $600,000 to date.

Marcum MicroCap Charity
Help for Children/Hedge Funds Care was designated the charity beneficiary of the 2016 Marcum MicroCap Conference in New York City. A $10,000 check from the Marcum Foundation was presented during the keynote luncheon on Day One.

May-June, 2016
Book Drive
Sixteen Marcum team members across the regions got together for a child literacy campaign, to fulfill their volunteer commitment to the Leading Edge Association's Young Professionals Committee. Staff in Boston, Ft. Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Melville, Miami, New Haven, New York City, Philadelphia, Roseland, West Palm Beach and even China collaborated, collecting more than 2,400 books and $1,500 in cash donations to benefit nine children's charities. That's what we call a great story!

Planned Giving Program
Roseland, New Jersey

Roseland and Philadelphia both hosted Marcum Foundation events to introduce new staff and partners to the Planned Giving program. About 20 people in each office enrolled as a result -- so far – and still counting!

Change-a-Thon
The New York City office kicked off a "Change-a-Thon" to provide extra support to the region's Planned Giving charities. Two Marcum Foundation piggy banks provide an easy way for partners and staff to offload their pocket change while helping those in need.

Habitat for Humanity
Broward County Chapter

On January 9th, 2016, a group of Marcum employees worked with the Broward County chapter of Habitat for Humanity to install hi-hat lights in a Fort Lauderdale home.
